Appearance: Clear, brilliant amber Nose: A rich and expressive nose, blending dried fruit and very ripe fruit with well-integrated woody notes. Palate: The attack, smooth and silky, reveals dried fruit, before giving way to toasty and spicy notes. The balance is spot on, with the alcohol complementing the flavours without overpowering them. The finish is long and lingering, building on the candied fruit notes with a slight woody astringency. Overall impression: Rich and well-balanced, with a lovely harmony between dried fruit and oak on a silky texture, despite a slight astringency on the finish.
