Appearance: Gold, brilliant Nose: Orchard fruits and floral notes blend with a hint of honeyed oak. Palate: The attack, driven by lovely acidity, reveals dried fruit enhanced by a hint of vanilla. The ripe, rounded tannins lend a silky texture, whilst a fairly pronounced warmth is kept in check by good balance. The long finish ends on oak and a subtle smokiness. Overall impression: A balanced and complex wine, where the fruit is underpinned by lovely acidity and ripe tannins, with a hint of smokiness that adds character.
