Nose: The aromas reveal a profile dominated by wood and sweet spices, accompanied by notes of candied fruit, honey and caramel, although the whole remains somewhat closed. Palate: The attack is straightforward and lively, with a full-bodied texture that reveals a balance between the dynamic fruit notes and the oaky character. The initial sweetness evolves into a complexity combining vanilla, spices and herbaceous nuances, underpinned by a strong acidity. The finish is long and elegant, tending towards dryness with accents of hay and tobacco. Overall impression: A well-balanced, complex spirit that suffers, however, from a woodiness that is sometimes too overpowering, to the detriment of aromatic finesse.
