Appearance: Deep amber, crystal-clear Nose: Orange peel and dried fruit dominate, underpinned by notes of caramel. Palate: The attack, smooth and silky, reveals stone fruit and raisins, carried by lovely acidity and a measured warmth. The mid-palate, which is slightly diluted, gives way to notes of oak. The finish, smooth and balanced, is tinged with mild spices. Overall impression: A harmonious and well-structured wine, where the fruit and caramel are underpinned by lovely acidity, despite a mid-palate that is a little light.
