Pungent spices add a spicy kick, whilst the alcohol, which is quite pronounced, tends to mask the delicate aromas. The finish is long and lingering, ending on a slight bitterness. Overall impression: A lively and intense wine, with lovely complexity and a long finish, where the strength of the alcohol sometimes overpowers the floral finesse of the nose.
