Palate: The attack is smooth and full-bodied, with a syrupy texture where the sweetness takes the upper hand before a hint of bitterness from aromatic herbs comes through to balance it. Spices and candied fruit accompany a well-integrated alcohol content. The finish, enlivened by a slight hint of tannin, reveals a somewhat persistent sweetness. Overall impression: A rich and mellow wine, where the character of the marc and the herbaceous bitterness sit alongside a sweetness that is at times pronounced.
